A READING WEEK was celebrated from 21 to 26 of Nov. 2011 to encourage reading among students. Each day of the week had different activities in one particular language. Monday was devoted to English, Tuesday to Sanskrit, Wednesday to Gujarati and Thursday to Hindi. On Friday, there quiz in all the 4 languages. On Saturday a book fair organized in the school.

Students were encouraged to read the works of various well known authors, with a list of age appropriate literature having been already provided to them.

Subsequently, the pupils were asked to locate challenging vocabulary items from the novels they had read, refer a dictionary to identify their meanings and generate sentences of their own .This was done with great enthusiasm .

Finally a quiz was held to assess their General knowledge.
