Teachers Day was celebrated in a big way at Udgam school. In the first half of the day, students of Std. 10, 11 and 12 took on the role of teachers and taught other classes. The student-teachers came dressed for the day – boys in formal clothes complete with ties and girls in saris. They played their role well and experienced the problems as well as joys their teachers went through every day. Students then put up a show for teachers – dance, song, poems and speeches – all related to ‘gurus’, not forgetting Dr. Radhakrishnan in whose memory the day is celebrated.

In the second half of the day, teachers were treated to delicious lunch and after that entertained with games. They were divided into teams and all played the games with enthusiasm. They had a great time. In the end all teachers were given a token gift of chocolates, a card and pen.
