Aashvi’s Achievement

Aashvi Dalal of Std. X participated in the Under-17 Girls Badminton tournament in the 57th National School Games 2011 – 2012 held at Pune, Maharashtra from 9th to 13th of Jan. 2012. She won the second position in the tournament.

Yash’s Achievement

Yash Modi of Std. VII participated in a Cultural Event at Blithchron 2012. He played Tabla along with a group from Saptak. Yash also participated in a programme organized by Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) in Ahmedabad on 12th and 13th of Jan. 2012

Jaydev’s Achievement

Jaydev Shah of Std. VII presented his creative and innovative ideas to Ford Motor Company. He designed an automatic car. In recognition of his creative and initiative he has been gifted a model truck.

Kaivan’s Achievement

Kaivan Shah VII – B participated in the 4-13 Gujarat State Chess Tournament. The Tournament was held at Ahmedabad from August 6. 2011 to August 7, 2011. He Secured 4 points out of 7 points and placed 30. Kaivan also participated in the Children Chess Group organized by Gurjar Chess Academy . He secured Third place by getting 3.5 points out of 4 points. The Chess Competition held at B.P.A. on August 7, 2011.

Malav’s Achievement

Malav Parikh of Std. X B was a member of the Gujarat Basket ball team that played against Maharashtra in the national round. He was the highest scorer and has been selected to play the international round which will be held in Ahmedabad in the last week of August 2011.

Aryan’s Achievement

Aryan Jhaveri student of 5th A has qualified for UC MAS ( Mental Arithmetic) nationals which was held in Chennai on 2nd July, 2011 by his very good performance in the state level selection exams from various centers across Gujarat. He qualified for level 6 – F2 grade national competition in which they have to complete 200 sums in 8 minutes. More than 400 students all over India participated for 6 levels – F2 exam. Aryan performed well to win the trophy by coming in top 25 students of national for level 6 – F2 grade.

Maana Patel’s Achievement

Maana Patel's – 7th D created 2 new records and claimed 4 gold, 1 Silver and 1 bronze in 50 m back stroke, 100 m back stroke, 4×50 m free relay, 4×50 medly relay, 50 m free style and 50 m butterfly stroke. She is selected from Gujarat State as a participate in 28th Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship to be held at Indore between 25th to 28th June.

A great achievement indeed, Fenil !

A great achievement indeed, Fenil! – On Thursday May 12, 2011 The former national junior FENIL SHAH created a state record by playing simultaneous chess with 126 players. It took more than eight hours for Fenil to complete his game against all opponents. He won against 124 players but lost to Bhavesh Thakkar. Fenil also had to settle for a draw against Pradip Pandya. The competition was held at Pleasure Club. Fenil will now head to Orissa for a chess championship schedules in June. Udgam wishes you all the best.

Kairavs’ Achievement

“Kairav M. shah  – VII ‘D’ walked away with the junior boys’ title with 30 points in a Golf tournament organized on Saturday at “Kensville” which is an international course signature by Jeev Milkha Singh.”

Kaun Banega Traffic Star

As part of the Traffic Week, that is, from 2nd to 7th Jan. 2012, Ahmedabad Traffic Police held an Inter-school Quiz competition named ‘Kaun Banega Traffic Star’. The preliminary round was held on 4th Jan. and the finals on 5th Jan. 2012. Udgam was represented by Shriraj Gandhi and Lohit Marodia of Std. IX. They won the second prize and were awarded a Certificate, Trophy and Rs. 3000/-
