Visit to Old Age Home

Visit to Old Age Home

‘Respecting and caring for our Elders’ is one of the moral values which is inculcated in the students at  USFC.  In the light of  the same, a few students of class 9 and10 accompanied by teachers, visited Old Age Home under the umbrella banner of ‘Joy of Giving Week’.

The inmates, though old and feeble, gave our children a warm welcome.  To break the monotony of their lives the students presented different programmes, an instrumental piece and bhajans, for them.  These were whole -heartedly enjoyed and appreciated by them. It was a feast to the eyes and hearts to watch their response – some were clapping, some were dancing while  some were simply sitting and watching with misty eyes, perhaps remembering their bygone days or maybe  remembering their own children or grandchildren. Our students gave the elderly people a few moments of joy but came back with a life-time experience.
