TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATIONS

The Day for the Teacher, the Guru, was celebrated with reverence at Udgam School.

This was the perfect opportunity for students to  make the day special for those who relentlessly work for them in and outside the classrooms, the motivators of learning.

Principal Ms. Radhika Iyer referred to the day as Teacher’s Day as well as Student’s Day as without students there would be no teachers and vice versa.

Each section of the school celebrated the day with great enthusiasm.

Students arranged a variety of activities for their beloved teachers.

There were skits, songs, speeches, dances and card making activity.

They decorated the classes with lovely colourful posters.

There were smiles all around.

In the afternoon the students listened with rapt attention to the live telecast of the eloquent speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a strong espouser of education.

Special arrangement was made to ensure proper viewing of the telecast.

BLUE AND PINK DAY

The tiny tots of our Preprimary section had a Blue and Pink Day in school. The scenario in the Jodhpur Campus was mesmerising. It was as though one has walked into a dream.
The children came dressed in these two colours. Usually blue is for boys and pink for girls and the children adhered to this. They played with items that had shades of blue and pink. There were pink umbrellas and blue fishes, pink dolls and blue guitars, blue and pink decorations and large balls to play with. The difficult part was eating food items that are found naturally in these two colours. Apart from learning about these two colours, they appreciated the presence of these colours in adding vibrancy to the surroundings. The goal of learning through fun was achieved well.

Thaltej Municipal School Update

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Udgam School Trustee, Mr. G. K. Choksi, our school donated a computer to the Principal of Thaltej Municipal School. Other pending needs were also taken up which are in process now.
With this we have completed one year of association with the municipal school which we took over with an aim to uplift it. During this time we have made regular visits to the school, improved the sanitation and building structure, held competitions, trained teachers, provided food, stationery and furniture.
We would like to express our gratitude to all those who have been associated in making the municipal school a little better with their donation and time.
