Udgam Haat

Every year, the students of secondary and senior secondary join hands and pull off Udgam Haat. This Haat converts the Udgam School auditorium into a sustainable marketplace where students set up shop to sell various handcrafted items ranging from jewellery and bags to home décor. Parents, teachers, staff, and students from all over the school are invited to visit this Haat and support fellow students.

Udgamites prepare these items by hand in the week leading up to the event day. In the course, the school aims to instil in them the value of labour in handiwork. In a world rabid with greenwashing, we not only teach our students about sustainable alternatives to rampant consumption but also allow them to be actively involved – hands-on – in the creation process.

The proceeds from the sales go directly to NGOs.
